I too congratulate you on your success.  However, don't you think it is unfair to compare Philadelphia CPA Review comprehensive class, to our CRAM course? Our Reg comprehensive course was 38 hours, the CRAM that you purchased, (for less than $200) was only 20 hours.  Of course, we do not do the several hundred mcq and sims in the CRAM.  That is what we do in the comprehensive course.

I'm responding, just to clarify your comments so that others know that you are comparing "apples to oranges" in this case.

YAEGER CPA,

point taken, it was more along the lines of the advantages of a live class vs REG CRAM not the full course, and you do have several hundred mcq and multiple sims in the wiley. which I would have not even considered for it not for the REG CRAM DVD. So thank you.

As this post was asking to review the Philly CPA Review, and my only other lecture was the Yaeger Cram, it was natural for me to compare it and give my thoughts.

I took the Phila CPA Review courses and wanted to share my opinion. Due to crazy work hours working in big 4, i only took 1 part so far (FAR passed), studying for the second now and I have to say that Bob and Liz are the reason you all want to sign up for the course. The BISK software (Philly CPA uses Bisk software) is inferior to the Becker software in the sense that it's just a very slow software - questions are the same. But the Philly CPA Review instructors are soooo worth the slower software. The classes are really intense but they are both wonderful instructors. You will walk out of every 4 hour class brain dead, but you will learn...ohhh you will learn...your hand will fall off after writing 100 words per minute for 4 hours in Bob's class but he's amazing, and you will learn more in 1 of his classes for Financial that you probably did in 4 years of college. Liz is also great, she goes through all the important stuff, she is energetic. Their notes and handouts are a lot better than Becker ones - they really summarize all the important stuff. Basically, I highly recomment Bob and Liz.

I also wanted to weigh in... while the Bisk software is a little buggy and slow, it accomplished the objective. I've passed FAR & AUD thus far, and hope to get passing scores for BEC & REG in September. The questions really are the same as Becker, Bisk provides $4,000+ questions.

Philadelphia CPA Review is excellent. The instructors make class very exciting, interesting, and it sticks. They are both experts on the CPA Exam and available to help with any questions. The best part is really the highly interactive classes.

I would suggest this review course to people from all areas.. when I had to make up classes online it was like the real thing. They tape their actual classes. There are few substitute teachers (3 out of ~30 classes) and my experience was positive with them.
