LOL. It's been documented that that 74 had a BLANK written
communication.

That fact that he left the communication section BLANK does
not mean that the AICPA is doing magical garbage to the
scores. Sorry, but how do you expect to get a passing
grade when you are down to 90% of the test?

Do not bother wasting time asking for a rescore.

I got this type of diagnostic report and still failed.I used BISk intensive DVD to re-inforce myself and when i retook auditing i scored in the 80's.

I am sure you can find cheap ones around on ebay or somewhere, you wont regret you used it.

I attached the report I got.  I was very confused with my score and contacted various people in Nasba and AICPA but they all discouraged me to go through appeal.  also, I did not want to pay for the process which is even more costly than retaking exam.  I have no confidence on their scoring system anymore but I retook the exam and wait for the resut at this time.

How come you've failed the exam when it shows that you were stronger than the passing candidates on the MC and Sim parts, that count for 90% of the exam?! Gosh, that doesn't make sense at all.

Oh my dear! When I was taking Audit, I knew LOTS of people that took it before me that failed with a 73 or 74 and were comparable in every section BUT written communication. This scared me so badly that I made it my mission to nail this section.

This is strictly a hunch, but I feel like the AICPA grades this section harder than in any of the other three tests because of the content. So much of auditing is communicating, both inside and outside the firm. I spent two solid weeks working on only this section. I left myself PLENTY of time to explain what I needed to and used lots of details.

You appear to know Audit really well. Regroup, do every audit simulation you can get your hands on. I had my mother in law "grade" my audit communication questions because she is an English teacher.

Focus on the weak areas.

You will pass next time!
