I've taken 3 exams so far (FAR, BEC & AUD). For BEC and AUD, I tried my hand at just using the Wiley book and trying to go through it on my own. It never seemed to click that way and I came up short on both attempts. For FAR, I used Yaeger and started off watching the lecture for a module and then working the multiple choice questions suggested. It seemed like it was taking quite some time doing this so I began watching all the lectures while taking some notes and then started working the multiple choice questions for each part. It seemed to work better for me. I'm using the same approach for the AUD section now. I heard good things about RogerCPA for AUD so I went with that one. I have the 2011 Yaeger BEC that I will start on next month and plan to use the same strategy.
Just be sure to work as many questions as you can and read all the answers (even the wrong ones) so you can understand why they are wrong. I found it more helpful to work a question and then go over the answer, instead of working all questions for a particular module and looking to see if my answer was correct or not. Good luck!
