I've never had an issue studying, I guess it's mainly because I always had a logical way of figuring stuff out and completing it extremely quick (which is why REG and AUD was so easy). However, BEC is making a fool of me. I can't seem to figure out how to attack it, and am severely lacking motivation to study it.

I've used adderall a few times, and man does it help. However, I've had a recent serotonin problem .. and now if I take it, it actually triggers panic attacks which I try to avoid like the plague.

Do you guys have any other suggestions?

UCF

If you have never had issues studying before, then I am not sure why you would take adderall in the first place.  Are you using it to help you concentrate i.e. focus better?  Have you always taken it ?

I run, which clears my mind and does help me focus better.  It does not have to be running.......but any physical activity that helps improve the cardio levels, which many times also helps in aiding mental awareness  / sharpness.

Now if I only pass REG!!!

Here are our thoughts on your question: http://goingconcern.com/2011/04/studying-for-bec-leads-a-cpa -exam-candidate-to-drugs/

Stick to nourishing your body and brain, leave the Adderall to the college kids.

Ah... I felt the same way too. AUD and REG (Currently studying it right now) I can figure them out through common sense and logic, but with BEC, nothing is connected. I tried to memorize the materials, but when I took the test, ah..... it was so different from what I've seen on Becker's....

I won't be surprised if I need to re-take BEC.....

Went to a neurologist for the same problem.  I would study and cold not remember.  I thought I was not focusing and I was looking to get Adderall.  I left with a Gabapentin prescription. Took Gabapentin for 2 days and was less motivated and retained even less information.  Neurologist prescribed Zoloft.  That did the same thing.  Went to a family doctor who prescribed Strattera.  Same awful side effects.  A month later I realized that only hard work and dedication will achieve goals.

Sorry, there is no simple pill for this one.  Save your time and money; avoid those prescriptions.

I did start taking a multi-vitamin and walking on a treadmill while reviewing notes.  Seems to help.
