This thread will be used to discuss all things Becker...

This is where you can come to ask questions about the review program, compare/contrast and discuss pros and cons.

Please keep discussions constructive and respectful, especially when discussing negative aspects of your experience.  Remember, everyone learns differently and what might work out fine for you may not be the right approach for others.

Thank you and Good Luck with your studies!!!

I am taking Becker, but I also have the Wiley books.  After going through the Becker multiple choice questions, I tried Wiley.  I felt Wiley's questions were considerably harder.  I did all right on Becker, but on Wiley's I was barely cracking the 50% barrier.

My question is which questions are more representative of the actual exam?

Thanks.

I took Becker and passed all parts of the CPA except Reg. I don't think Becker was the problem, I probably just need to study harder this time, but I do think that doing Wiley would definitely help you greatly.

Hello all,

I've just completed BEC primarily using Becker with the Gleim test prep CD to supplement. I'm starting my Becker program for FARE, my next challenge, but would like some advice on what I can use to supplement Becker for FARE.

I liked Gleim for BEC, although it was quite a bit more difficult than the actual exam and the Becker questions, but it worked. I'm not finding a lot of support in this section of the forum for users who used Gleim on FARE. Rather, I see more people recommending Bisk and Wiley as a supplement for FARE. I'd like some opinions from anyone who has taken the test, or anyone studying on what they used and what they liked about it.

I am currently using Gleim Online and the Gleim test prep CD as my main study materials and the Bisk book (for when my eyes hurt from looking at a computer screen for too long).  I used the test prep cd and (Bisk textbook) for BEC and got an 87 and I spent most of my time doing questions from that software. I never did any questions from the book, I only used the book for a quick review read and reference.  I think the reccomendation for bisk and wiley are for an additional text for explanitions while gleim test prep cd is great for additional practice questions.
