For FAR, AUD, and REG I used Becker. For BEC I used Becker, but supplemented it with Gliem 2011 questions and Wiley 2011 "Update Book". I am waiting on my score. If I do not pass BEC, I am going to go with Wiley 2012 questions. Becker is not good for BEC. They need to update their material. regards to my study plan, I took 3 months for FARS and REG, 2 months for AUD and about 6 weeks for BEC.

I would suggest moving on to other sections... start with FAR. a lot of topics flows from FAR into other sections (especially audit). Do not rush... take the time and learn the material. Some people can pass all 4 sections in 4 months, but it may take others a year or more to pass. AICPA mandated 18 months for a reason. I think they estimated it would take the average person 6 months to study for FAR, 5 months REG, 4 months for AUD, and 3 months for BEC.

FAR is hard, but once you learn the material you will realized that it is not as hard as you thought. Keep studying...I too at one point felt like giving up.

@KR_CPA

if you used Becker 2011, they re-arrange sections. Also all ancillary material is now part of regular material. Did you watch the lectures videos or you are just doing self studying.

It does sounds like you are not focus on one section. Create a plan for 2 or 3 month and study. dont do on/off study. you will never pass.

I cant recommend any study materials, because I havent take any section of CPA yet. I am using Becker and first few time when I read it I was stuck @ 65%. Now after reading over and doing MCQ over & over. I will see how I do on exam next week.

Shawn,

Usually I spend 4 months on each subject. First I watch lecture videos and then MCQs. Which subject are you giving first. Do you have Becker 2012.

Atodd,

Everybody said FAR is the scariest so I was keeping on pushing it at the end. But I think you are right. I need to do first FAR. But I am nervous ….I really don’t know which one to start.....i am confused. Thanks for your advice.
