I was getting a little bit frustrated with my school's high tuition, inconvenient class times, and few online courses so I decided to give LSU a call. I really want to knock out a few more courses so I can start studying for the CPA exam and my patience is wearing thin with my current school's infexibility.
My biggest question for them was how many hoops would I have to jump through to get started taking the couple of accounting classes I want to take.
From what I found, they ask you to list pre-reqs on your application and don't force you to go through all of the hassle of sending official transcripts. I was told that I could be taking classes in about a week after I complete the application. That is so much easier than all of the BS hoops you have to jump through to get started at most colleges.
I think I may try to do governmental accounting and see how I like it and then I may take tax.
