Hi All,
I have already completed half of my CA before moving to California as F-2
(spouse visa). In order to sit of CPA, I realized I needed to complete few extra
credit hour of course work which are being offered in University of Santa
Clara as CAAP program http://www.scu.edu/business/caap/. Unfortunately,
since CAAP is not a degree seeking program, they dont issue I-20 and I can't
study under F-2. A degree program like MS in Accounting on the other hand
is not only super expensive and beyond my affordability but also mostly
redundant.
I am wondering if anybody in this forum has gone through a similar problem
as F-2 and would really love to know how they addressed it. I have the
following specific questions.
1. How and where do you complete those extra credit hours on F-2 status
2. If somehow the above could be achieved under F-2, what happens during
auditing ? Because under F-2 you can't work, so how does that work.
2. If point# 1 is possible, which program in the Bay Area California is cheap
and recognized by CPA ?
I am desperately in need of answers for these questions.. please help.
Regards
Farhana
