Hi everyone. i´m argentinian and i m planning to apply for CPA in 2010.
since i have my bachelor degree (accounting+administration) in argentina, I would really appreciate if someone (especially an international applicant) could help me on these topics:
- should i send my qualifications to FACS (or similar) before choosing the state to apply?? ( ...if I have a qualification from FACS, that qualification will then be accepted by any board?)
- wich is the best agency to get my credentials evaluated?? (cheaper, etc...)
- wich are the most convenient states for international applicants??
- once I pass the 4 sections: wich are the additional steps to get the license? (ie. the ethics exam can be taken online??)
thanks a lot!!

Hello guys! I should have known earlier that a forum like this exists. Ang tagal ko ng ngsi-search ng karamay. Anyway, I'm also a Filipina, and kaka-take ko lang last Nov ng FAR and AUD sections dito sa Texas. I'm still waiting for the results, hopefully I made it.
Bdwy, I hope you guys help me out with my concerns. Saang state ba ma-credit for licensing ang work experience sa PI? What happened in my case was I didnt know before I applied that TX board does not credit work experience gained in PI. I am thinking of transferring my scores someday if I'll pass all sections by next yr.
Another concern, me and my husband are soon migrating to Canada, and I'm thinking, pano ba yung process sa Canada (particularly ALberta) para mging CGA? If I will pass the US CPA exam, do I have to take another sets of exam (as in back to square 1) pra maging CGA?

Glad to have found some kababayans here.
If you are a licensed CPA, you will need to complete 3 CGA courses, otherwise its a case by case scenario. Why not go after the Canadian CA ? You will need to take only the CARE exam.
