^This is the same question I have in mind. Thanks for the input.

I am currently reviewing for the 4 parts. I plan to take the first set of exams in April, and then May.

Hi everyone.  I have been going through this thread and found this very informative.  I applied for an Intent to take the cpa exam here in Texas.  The foreign credential evaluation went well (I graduated in Phils with a BS Acctncy) but I ran short of 12hrs of the 150 hrs requirement. All the rest went well (that includes the accounting and business course requirement).  Whats the best way for me to complete the 150 hrs (only 12hrs short) requirement that wouldn't cost me so much.  I was thinking of taking a masters in accounting online but dont know if its the best way???  Need your inputs . . . . Thanks.  By the way Im from Cagayan de Oro.

Hey 1Gtolens74! I think you can take courses from a community college but check with your state board. Usually that is the cheapest way to complete the requirements. I'm from CDO too! :-)

I'm in AL but taking the CPA board under California because we originally planned to move. The state requirements are different per state so na-qualify agad yung school credits ko to take under the state of CA ( they don't have the 150-credit requirement). But I know many from this board got their additional credits by taking community courses if they only need a few more credit hours. Yup, XU grad din.
