Hi! I was a california candidate when i took the exams in 2007. So i
think ok ang units mo for California, but u have to have them
assessed first. I passed all subjects ( taken in just a span of 1
week), using becker video & gleim reviewers. Didnt process my
license though so i couldnt comment on the post-exam reqts in
california. (i decided to work in the philippines although i'm now
pursuing my masters -LLM- here in the US, sa Georgetown U. I didnt
see the need to pursue the license so d ko na na asikaso). Hope this
helps.

Hi Susie, you should be able to write in Bahrain for one of the states
participating in the international exam locations, note that California is not
one of them. If you would like help in this process, please email me
directly.

Hi! If ever i would transfer my grades to another state for licensing,
Which state should i choose which would be friendly for a foreigner
with no SOcial security number? I passed the exam as a california
candidate in 2007. Thanks.

Wow, so there's a lot of Filipino CPAs around here in
this forums. Mga kababayans :). I'm an immigrant who
graduated from the Philippines last year in accounting
(CHED accredited) and took/passed the CPA board exam in
the said country for the same year.

I recently sent my TOR as well as my CPA certificate to
the board of examiner in the state I'm living in for
evaluation. I want to ask if, on your opinion, my sole
academic background would give me the opportunity to take
the CPA board exam this year. I live in the state of
Illinois btw.

Also, How long will the credentials of the said
evaluation last to sit for the CPA exam? This site:
http://www.ilboa.org/ specifically this statement:
Quote:
After your application to test is approved by the
Board of Examiners, the NTS is valid for a six-month
period. During that six months, you must schedule AND
TAKE all exam sections on that NTS.   After that six
month period, the NTS will expire and all fees forfeited.

is still somewhat confusing for me. Does it mean the
evaluation per se (refer to the question above)? or, the
application of schedule of CPA after the evaluation?

I'm planning to take the cpa board exams separately as
compared to the philippines' two weeks exam schedule. I'm
very concerned about the taxation/business laws here
because I've found that most of it are different. Do you
think I can master it in a short time? What
books/reviewers do you recommend for me to read?
