Hi Mayze,

I went to guam to take the exams. But i am california candidate. I haven't processed my license yet. I  am still looking for another state where i could apply for a license without having an SSN. You see, I am here in the phils, and i think i couldnt get an SSN which is a requirement under the CA laws. Maybe you have any suggestion on how to go about it.

Thanks.

Hi guys,

Buti naman nabuhay na Phil forum.

Lucky,  which state are u in?

I am now working in a CPA firm and I am planning to have my own tax practice na (on the

side) since I see the high demand and it is a good money maker.  The thing is,  it will be against the non compete agreement of the firm.  Any ideas on how I can carry on with my plan?

Hi I am in Ohio State. That is what I am doing right now, do taxes on the side for fam and friends. That non-compete agreement I am pretty sure it will be valid for a few years only right? Gano ba katagal na effective yan? Are you planning to leave the company go somewhere else? Like Publicly Traded Co's? or even private companies.  I think that is one option to start your own business without jeorpardizing your job. Other than that! not really sure. What CPA firm are you working at? Any idea on how to be called for an interview? Anong State ka ba?

Cynch,

I have read from other post, mostly DE ang choice of those non residents.  U have to be licensed within 10 years of passing the exam or else mag eexpire ung credits mo.

I am in PA. I like my job in the CPA firm, I am learning  a lot and I dont want to go to corporate yet.  I am thinking to form a company and put my spouse as the owner.  I will do the work though but he will be the one signing. I dont think there are any regulations restricting who can sign returns.  You really dont need to be a CPA or EA.  What do u think are the possible problem with this?  I would also want to outsource the work if the company get big.  I am still young, may be I am just dreaming too much... haaayyy.
