My Becker Lecture DVD works only on the computer . Is there a way to make it work on the DVD player and watch it on TV screen.

The reason could be that your DVD format is computer readable only. I think you need to have a "Upconverting 1080p Type DVD Player" or any DVD player that can run all sort of media formats like CD, DVD, DivX, JPEG, WMA, MP3 etc. It can fix your problem.
