All,

I am going to give you a little background on where I am at to get a better idea of how y'all might be able to help! My credit expires in March of 2013 so I have plenty of time, but I have to pass by then!

I got out of school in May and immediately bought Becker and started studying. I didn't have a job so I was able to put in 5-6 hours a day for BEC. I found BEC to be the easiest of all of the sections (my undergrad was in Business Economics). I took BEC on July 11th and got an 80!

As I was leaving the exam I got a call from a firm that I interviewed with and started work the next week. I had never had a full-time job so I my studies took a backseat.

So I went ahead and took both FAR and AUD even though I wasn't dedicated to studying. I know this is why I got a 50 and 53. I was also on a schedule with BECKER so I wanted to at least take all of the classes so I could get the Becker promise when I did fail.

I am in tax and since we aren't very busy right now I was able to take off the last 3 weeks of November to study for REG. I took it yesterday and I have that feeling of knowing I did all I could, but not knowing for sure how i did. I believe that I did well as i knew the material, but you never know!

My questions are how should I focus when I retake the exams?

Should I take one or two sections per window? Do I focus on passing one section at a time? If I do how do I schedule it so I can take them faster when If for some reason I fail?

Since I don't know what I got on REG should I keep studying just in case I didn't pass so I can take it again when the January window begins?

How many hours a day should I be studying when I work? This is what I have messed up on. Would only study a few hours but the hours weren't the most quality!

TIA for y'alls help! I will do whatever it takes so I can pass all sections by March 21st, 2013 to avoid losing any credit. Any other ideas or pointers are welcome.

What I recommend is to take one section on the first week of the testing window and then take another section on the last week of the testing window. That should give you plenty of time to study for two sections and get both of them out of the way in one window.

a lot of answers to your questions are whatever works best for you.

lots of people take 2 sections per quarter as mentioned above by CPA#1 but i can only concentrate on 1 section per quarter. 1 thing i would say is to concentrate on passing 1 section at a time. if you fail a section, get a new nts for the next quarter (you can only take each section once per quarter).

since the scores are releasing earlier nowadays i would put REG behind you for now and go ahead and study for the next section. its only about a week or so till scores come out so you can jump right back into REG if you didn't pass it and take it in january.

everyone has different lives and schedules so you have to find out what study hrs work best for you. i study 1-2 hrs in the morning, as much as possible during work, and 2-3 hrs at night during the weekdays. 3-4 hrs each on sat and sun. i've heard some people wake up at 2am and study till they go to work and sleep earlier at night. it's all up to you but 1 thing you have to do is put in the quality hrs, however many that may be for you to pass

you've already passed a section so it can be done. good luck!

ttukevin: I agree with nolifecpa. Would add the following: Taking FAR and passing it and then AUD may be good because of changes in view of IFRS, ISA. Best wishes

Are you using Becker for retake. I am asking this as I am in the same boat. I was also trying to GET becker promise thing done as I had done amistake if signing for all the classes at same time.

I took FAR two times and have not passed. Now I am trying to sit for FAR in first week of April and putting in average of 18-20 hours per week as I work full time.

I am not sure if I should review the lectures again or just concetrate on MCQ's. I started to review lectures and I feel like I know the materila but when I sit down to do questions I a blank.

I am not sure what is that I am doing that's wrong. Do any of you think if I should change review course from Becker to something else. I do like becker as the way it is broken down in bite size sections.

Please help !
