Hi everyone,

Has anyone using wiley 2010 tried the sample exam at the end of the book?

I scored 72 out of 90 mcqs. some were real silly mistakes on my end. so my concern is i found the questions to be fairly simple and easy..are they like this on the exam.

Frm this score, how shd i gauge my preparations for the exam..like am i adequately prepared or under-prepared. also are there any such free sample exams i can practice.

Yes, I used Wiley 2010 to pass the exam. Like you I made a bunch of silly mistakes during the practice exam. It was annoying. So work those out. Try to get around 85% and you will pass. Do the sims. I did every sim. In fact I did them all at least twice and probably 3 times.

You may go to Gleim website, and they have free full-size CPA exam for each section. You only need to register with them to have it done.

On that exam, I got 84% and 95% on the real one.

On Wiley book final exam MCQ, I got around 70% first time after going thru the book, and around 100% after the second round of the book review and all MCQ for chapters.

I think real exam questions are more difficult than final exam MCQ Wiley, but less evolved, shorter than MCQ in Wiley book in general.

When I took the Wiley practice exam, I received a 77! My actual exam result was a 77! I also thought the real exam was easier! I don't know what happened, I probably made some stupid
mistakes. Don't worry about your score. As long as you keep picking up something new everyday and learning from your mistakes. I just hope I will be okay for BEC, the reason I am worried is
b/c there is no simulations to help me bring my grade up!

I used Wiley as well. I did not practice any of the multiple choice questions that correspond to the modules prior to taking the sample exam. After I studied all there is to know, I took the sample exam and bombed. So I bombed the sample Wiley exam and passed the real one. Remember on the Wiley sample exam, the questions are not weighted like they are on the real test. Overall, like TechnicConcepts, the real exam was easier.
