hi,
I am a CA from india and live in IL. IL needs 150hrs so only route for CPA is Colorado board. It will be tought for me to transfer license to IL ...what i want to know is...
Do Companies, audit firms and Big 4 insist on having IL license to work in IL or is it just sufficient if u have a CPA certificate from CO.

I'm a Ca candidate in IL too. I think you should be able to work here. It's not hard to get the licence here i think

I think u need a license only if u intend to practice , if you intend to work within industry than certificate is sufficient. You can sign reports/forms in the capacity of CPA only if you have a licence.
