hi,
I am a CA from india and live in IL. IL needs 150hrs so only route for CPA is Colorado board. It will be tought for me to transfer license to IL ...what i want to know is...
Do Companies, audit firms and Big 4 insist on having IL license to work in IL or is it just sufficient if u have a CPA certificate from CO.

Please respond

u dont have to be a CPA to work for big 4.  its just that, u cant be promoted to the manager level if u are not a licensed cpa.  But for positions lower than that, it is ok even if u are not cpa.

Actually, you can "clear" the exam from any state in the US. The exam is uniform throughout the US and yes, each state has different licensing requirements so that's what you really need to clarify.
