after I finally pass and become certified? Putting it more plainly, if I fail a
section once and apply for a job down the road, would/could a potential
employer ask me for my exam records as a hiring criteria?

I'm not so much worried about having to take a section again as I am about
having a really, really bad score show up that might make a potential
employer question my ability.

Employers will not request your score history. It's not like your GPA. Just
pass and you'll be fine.
