Hello Everyone.

Just a little background about myself; I graduated in
3.5years with 150 Credits w/ a degree in Business Admin:
Accounting, and Business Admin: Management. I am
currently working as a A/R Accountant w/ a CPA to get my
2 years in.(Does your 2 years NEED to be with the same
CPA?? what if I do 1 year here, and 1 year with someone
else at a different job??)

I am thinking about going for my CPA exam(which is why I
took the 150 credits in the first place, and stayed the
extra 1.5 semesters...)

Are there any free study guides or links that I can
look out to help me study for the CPA??
I was only
able to go to college on financial aid/academic
scholarship and do not have the $$ to throw on Becker or
other CPA study courses.

My last question would be, considering we are all
accountants, and most likely have the same mind-set;
What is the most difficult, to the easiest of the
sections of the exam??
I'd like to take the most
difficult first(probably Auditing?)

Thank you for all your help in advance.

You can use http://www.cpareviewforfree.com/, it has a
good amount of free questions. However, it is very hard
to study for the CPA exam without paying some money for
materials. There is just too much info covered. It
could be done, I guess, but I wouldn't want to be the one
to do it. Wiley is a good bargain option, not very
expensive and I liked it (used it exclusively for BEC and
AUD the second time). It's about $50 for books and $80 or
so for software. As to difficulty, I thought BEC was
easiest, less material covered and has essays if you are
a good writer. People usually agree the hardest is FAR
(lots of material, some of it stuff you don't usually see
as an accountant- Government and Non-for-Profit). I also
thought REG was hard, lots of material and only 3 hours
for the exam, so you have to hurry.

I don't have a clue about work experience, cause IL
doesn't have that requirement :).

Cool, Thank you very much!

If the free site doesn't seem like enough, $50 for a book
from Wiley doesn't seem that bad.

FAR and REG the hardest, so ill prob do like FAR, REG, AUD,
BEC... hoping to not start the timer until the hardest is
down.

You can buy the Wiley books off amazon.com for about $35 each so that's about $140 for your materials if you buy them separately or sometimes you can get a discount for purchasing more than one at a time.

I think the work requirement just looks for time and not requiring it to be under one employer.  I don't see why it would matter.
