Hey....I am new to this website.  Let me give you a little background of myself.  I graduated in 2003, and took all 4 parts later that year. I only passed one section so I didn't get credit. I took Kaplan review classes. I was very discouraged, and gave up.  Now I want to further my career so I want to try again. I never really learned a lot of the accounting stuff.  I felt like Kaplan was giving me weird ways to memorize stuff I didn't know.

So my question is which review course teaches the information, not just give you ways to memorize it?  I just don't know a lot of the info yet.  I have work experience, which might help. I am a very ancy person and don't learn well going to class 4 hours after work.  So what would you guys recommend? I have been looking at Yaeger. Is that good, for what I need?  Also I live in NY, I don't know if the test material changes state to state.  Do all courses go over the necessary stuff for NY? Thanks so much for your input!!

jps1012,

I can't really comment on which review course is the best since I'm slightly biased (working for Roger and all - got to disclose that from the gate!) but would recommend looking through the stickies on the front of this forum for ideas. Everyone is different and you can see as you look through the different courses on the front page, different things work for different people :)

Best of luck to you!
