I failed BEC in my first try in Aug., but I have to take FAR by the end of Oct. I dont know if it is possible to prepare both simultaneously or just focus on one by one. I knew FAR is a beast and time consuming, now i am only done 1.5 chapters. i am not a good multi-tasker. i doubt 45 days is not enough for both sections. Does anyone give me some suggestions? Thanks

I'm doing basically the same thing except I have until the
end of November. I am going to concentrate on the FAR
because I would rather pass that one than the BEC. I don't
really have any advice other than make your own notes.
That seems to help me. Good luck to you (and to me)!

having done BEC and studying for FAR right now, my 2 cents is that it's better to focus one and not spread urself too thin... I am halfway with the chapters now but still sooo much to do and learn.. sigh anyway good luck to u although i must say even though u failed BEC the first time i personally think it's doable in about 3 weeks of brutal work if push comes to shove..

Maybe you're right. I could take the FAR at the beginning
of Nov, and then fully concentrate on the BEC. Since I
don't have a job and only taking 6 hours in grad school, I
have plenty of time to study.

I studied for FAR and REG at the same time and it was hard, but not impossible. I studied REG first (one time through). Left REG and studied FAR (one time through). After going through each section once, I did a review of REG then took the exam. Then I did a review of FAR and took the exam. Be efficient by focusing on your studying, working hard when you are studying, and setting out a timeline. Don't waste time spinning your wheels.
