I just received an email saying that I lack a degree conferral and am not eligible to take the CPA under my state's jurisdiction.  Has anyone else had this before?  I just graduated and even received my diploma in the mail, sent them my unofficial transcript and everything within the application as well.  I sent them an email and will call them tomorrow in the morning, but I was just wondering if anyone else had dealt with this before and what they did to fix it?

I spent the last month and a half studying for FAR and not being able to take it within this window will really jeopardize my studying schedule.  I'm using Becker online classes and the next section starts within a week.  I'm freaking out!

Review your transcript in detail to be sure that you meet the specific credit requirements of your state.  If you do, you would then want to make contact with the state to clear things up.

Are you 100% sure that your degree had posted to your transcripts before your school sent them to the state board?

Also you said "sent them my unofficial transcript and everything within the application as well" - most if not all state boards will only accept official transcripts mailed directly from the school to the state board. Did you have your school send the official copy directly? Even if it is sealed, the board will not accept transcripts sent by the candidate themselves.

Actually, I did send them my official transcript directly from the university.  However, I learned that I had some other credits from a different college I attended 5 years ago, and those credits were needed to make my credits above 150.  Also, I heard somewhere that it takes 6 weeks for the university to post the degree to a transcript, so I'm just going to resend both transcripts and hope they will accept it.

I did not know that an official transcript had to be sent from the university itself, irregardless of whether it's a sealed envelope or not - so thanks for that.

Additionally, will it take another 6-9 weeks for them to review the NTS, or will I be able to take an exam within the August window if they accept my transcripts?

Thanks.

I sent my transcripts June 30, and got my NTS on July 16. If I had made the payments right away (instead of paying it three days after), I would've gotten it two, three days earlier.

If you send the transcripts today, you'll probably get your NTS within two weeks (assuming you pay for your exam as soon as you receive the payment coupon). But then, I'm from California. I don't know how things work around in your state.
