This is also my 4th time studying for BEC. I started studying for it again last June and planning to take it in July 3 but got so scared for not having much time because i haven't finished 1 chapter which is Entities, and had only 2 weeks left without going over again the passmaster, so I rescheduled pd $35 coz I don't want to fail this test again! |

The above reason is a good reason to be scared. I think it's a bad decision for anyone to sit for any of the sections without completing the homework. I failed the entire exam the first time because I couldn't finish Gleim in the allotted time they said I could complete it - 6 weeks! It just wasn't enough time for me. Regardless of the CPA review course, everyone moves at different speeds...some have more to review then others...but as a general rule...I don't suggest sitting for any of the sections prior to completing the study plan. I think one would be setting themselves up for failure.
I sat for the sections because for the first two I thought I could do it, but once I got my grades for both...I realized that the sections that the AICPA said I was weak...was exactly what I didn't study enough or at all. After I got my first two grades, I was sitting for two more sections and starting a new job. I said I'd do my best...but I sat for my last two parts for exposure purposes and because I was under the deadline of NTFS.
I decided to switch to Auditing and will take it on 1st week of Aug. I'm thinking of using the remaining weeks of Aug to study for BEC and try to take it at the end of Aug.
I know you are scared of failing BEC again, but stay focused! You said you didn't finish one section of BEC. I recommend that you continue on this path and keep studying BEC. You were two weeks away from nailing BEC and now you have skipping around and you're going to be a jack of all trades and master at none. I think you are putting both sections at risk with this strategy.
Do anyone thinks this is doable? I hope I did the right thing.
Well, I'm not here to really "tell" you what is the right thing to do, but I will try to help you strategize your situation (what you shared). When I suggest rescheduling a sections, this is for the person who has been studying diligently, and ran out of time because they needed more time to learn the material....not the person who is screwing off and decided to go to the mall and go shopping or the beach for the day!
I am assuming you have been religiously studying on the daily basis and needed a little bit more study time. I recommend getting back on track with BEC, and follow through with your study plan of 2 additional weeks. You really don't have a choice or you'll get backlogged badly with the other sections.
Good luck!
