Wow...

Looks like a lot of people are developing a grduge towards MS. Wannabe.

Ms.WannabeCPA, if you remember me, i was the one who started this war of words against you. I did not know it would reach such dramatic heights...Anyways, i thought you would be one of those older managers who did not have a CPA and felt a grudge against the new generation CPA....There have been a bunch i have come across. But you are one of our generation....that makes your attitude even more confusing..If this is what the new generation of USA thinks then God bless America and all those who came to this country thinking that it is the land of opportunities..

I'll tell you this though, when I see resumes come across my desk of potential first years with no experience who have passed the exam, I make sure they are not hired!

and then

I started my first audit job at the lovely age of 21 (I started in May) and unlike you, even though I don't have my CPA, could easily get a public or private accounting job anywhere here in the United States because of my previous experience. At this point, passing the exam is a formaility.

QUOTE]

Now is this the best counter argument you can come up with? If so then I should stop picking on you immediately and I don’t like bullying anybody but come on now the poor guy ask a question maybe not a smart one but your response were not even relative to what he asked anyway I think you either lying or dumb and I can prove it, Let me tell you how dumb you sound, Basically you said that you had around 7 years of experience (started at the tender age of 21 and now is 28) and bragged about how you were not going to hire (as a manager) anybody that passed the CPA and had no experience, Now I am no genius but I think I can put this in a simple format so you can comprehend it.

You and your experience should land you job at the worse case scenario as a senior but you accept a second year hire, hmmmmmmmm that translate to you being as good as a second year grad, and if he had passed his CPA exam he will trump your experience . I kind of feel bad about unloading on people but hey I tried to bite my tongue but boy oh boy you just would not stop, Now before your post here again know that, In this website people post to give and get constructive and valuable information, sometime vent but if you are going to be destructive and psycho then you should go find yourself another place.

Pick on ya later.

6 years working experience (I don't count one because it was a state job and it was very slow). I started at 21 turned 22 a few months later. I am now 27 and will be 28 in a month. Currenly I am in a Manager position, but not at the Big 4. Good luck with your job search!

That's okay. Sometimes it's nice to have these heated types of discussions to get frustrations out during a tough day at work or a mind numbing day of studying.

I don't know whats going on here...  But, if wannabCPA was a liar and was trying to talk herself up here, I don't think she would post that she failed BEC and REG twice.  Just my 2 cents.  Maybe, there was a misunderstanding.
