Hahaha.  I'm so glad I read this.  I'm using 2009 Wiley and second-hand 2009 Becker.  Wiley blows my mind after a while.  Some of it is so convoluted it takes me a while to imagine how some situation could actually occur in real life (truck flies off the road, involuntary conversion, but before period end miraculously repairs itself up to a % = 2 x the driver's age right before his next birthday).

Man, this made me laugh!  Yea, Wiley is the most cunning of the species....  After doing 3 hours of Wiley mcqs, my brain was numb and I didn't trust what day it was.

I agree. Are you talking about the mcq's in the cd or in the book ?

Yeah, I have to take breaks and it's good I have the Becker to keep things real, though it's not without its difficulties also. The one thing that annoys me about Wiley is that, for me at least, it can create skepticism about what I'm sure I know based on doing it at work regularly and our auditors/CFO review my work.

When I found that I was approaching every Wiley MCQ with apprehension because I assumed it would have numerous non-real-life stupid tricks embedded in it, I had to back away for a while.  That's a poor aspect of the text because it doesn't build confidence.   I'd be doubting my ability to understand English and do basic mathematical calculations if I just relied on results from a first pass through Wiley.

The only advice I can give you is to keep doing the MCQs non stop. Wiley book (not CD) is very comprehensive and if you just keep at it, until the very end...you should pass. The wiley questions are harder than the real exam anyways.

Just keep at the MCQs and strengthen weak concepts regardless of your score. Some pple start with scores that are good and improve only 5-10%. MOST people will get scores that are low and make sudden jumps as the material clicks. You never know when your jump is going to be...so just keep at it.

Two weeks is plenty of time...dont give up is all.

Joykill, I have heard as you said that the MCQs in Wiley are "harder than the real exam", do you think that is beneficial? I am all for completely understanding the material but at the same time I don't want to overthink on the exam and trick myself out of the correct answer because Wiley has so many tricks and ways to try and fool you into the wrong answer.
