I want to echo the above two posts. Stay with the Big 4. The experience you are getting their is priceless. The pay increase by moving to a corporate environment is only short term. I work in the tax department of a BIG company, and  I was offered atleast 15% more than my peers who chose to go into public upon graduation. However, they are making more than me now plus they have the experience. I am desperately trying to get my foot in public. Don't let go of you Big 4 opportunity.

A lot of people want to get into the Big 4 and you're there, so why not stay if you don't hate it? (and according to jobvent.com there are a lot of disgruntled Big 4 employees or former employees).

Is the Big 4 laying off?  Thought I read something that said they were.

passed the cpa exams. I am now working in a Corp. firm as a permanent employee for a month. This is my first job in US. But I am always interested to work for a Public Company as I am interested to do taxes and audits, other than just a typical data entry job and keep moving up in my career. The company I am currently working has a very good work environment and co-workers I am working with, are good as well. But still I am interested to move to public accounting company.

I am sure, that this will be a main interview qn. asking why I left the co. so early. Can I say the reason that I am more interested to work for public companies where I can find more career potential and lot of client interaction. what answer would satisfy the interviewer ? pls. guide me. I am thinking to apply for a public company sooner(not the big4). so, any advice would be greatly appreciated.
