Also, just to clarify my response to your initial question, you should be sending paperwork as follows:

  • In an envelope addressed to NASBA in Nashville, TN, include your New York Initial Application Form (the one available here) and a check with the $125 application fee plus the fees for the exams which you are electing to take within 6 months of your application being approved. You can include these fees all on the one check.
  • In an envelope addressed to The Office of the Professions in Albany, NY, include Form 1 and a check for US $345 (your initial licensure fee)
  • Send Form 2 to each of the institutions where you completed your education. These must be completed by the institutions and then forwarded by them on to the Office of the Professions in Albany, NY.
Send the envelopes to NASBA and Office of the Professions at the same time, and submit Form 2 to the institutions at the same time. NASBA and Office of the Professions will cash your checks and keep your paperwork on file until Office of the Professions receives your Form 2. Then the process will continue like I described in my earlier response.

I'm not a CPA myself, but my job directly involves the CPA Exam.

Glad I could be of help. Good luck with your application and the exam!

I have a question for lola_m:

You mentioned "Send Form 2 to each of the institutions where you completed your education" I have a MS in Acc from USA so no problems there. But my undergrad degree is from UK. Do I need to send Form 2 to UK or just the masters is sufficient.

Thank you.
