I am hoping someone has had experience with this situation. It is a possibility that my husband will be transferred and I will have to move OUT of Texas. I have passed two parts of the exam already. What would happen to those credits? Do they have reciprocity? Or do I have to retake them? Would it be more advantageous to drive to Texas and stay with relatives during a test? Any clue?

Nothing has happened yet. I just don't like having the rug pulled out with no plan in sight.

Thanks!

You can take the tests in any state, but to become certified in another state you have to meet that state's requirements in terms of education, work experience, etc.

I was under the impression all states issued the same exam; therefore it would make sense that you would be able to take the exam in any state. When I sat for the FAR exam last week in VA, an individual from NC was there taking his final part because he could not get a seat anywhere in NC this month. He passed the first three parts in NC and was sitting in VA for the fourth and final part.

I'm in that boat. I started in one state and I moved to another in the middle. I was told that I have to finish the process in my original state and then apply for reciprocity with my new state. I actually take my exams in a third state because it is closer. I've always wondered if that is why it takes so long to get my scores back, because I've confused them. ;)
