Congratulations Calvol!! That is great.

Have you joined the AICPA? Does CA have any CPA association? I've joined the MNCPA but I can't join the AICPA until I get my license. Still working on the CPEs about 30 more to go.

For some of the CPE's I picked up the Surgent McCoy Self Study courses. I can get up to 96 hrs from it. It cost $245 but still alot cheaper than the in person classes.
I'll keep you posted on how my efforts are going. Again fantastic news on you getting your license

Hi Gerry, thanks, I was sweating the Board approval because I took the exam under the old rules, and didn't know if they would require me to do two years of experience (instead of just one).

Anyway, I am a member of the CalCPA, but let my AICPA membership lapse. If I leave the state, I think I will join the AICPA.

Thanks for the tip on CPE courses. This summer, I would like to take some tax courses and maybe take the EA exam using TaxMamma's course. I have worked on the ASA certification over the last year, and expect to get it done in June. Let me know if you have any questions, at my email > cpa at gmx.net Thanks, Tim
