I am in the same boat.  I am taking REG on Feb 12 and trying to decide if I should take BEC during the "season" or wait until after.  I really want to just be done.  Most firms require 10 hours per day of work PLUS Saturdays so its pretty insane.  Add a life and kids into the module and it gets crazy.

Does working in tax office help in preparing for REG . I passed Liberty tax office exam yesterday .

I am considering working on weekends in Liberty tax office if that helps in REG prep.

If you want to not have a life for the next couple months, then you can do it.  I really have a hard time study because I have never really studied hard until I started preparing for these exams.  There's a lot of distractions (like posting this reply).  That are difficult to avoid.

You probably should take BEC at the end, because hell, you might pass.

Also, for the OP, what helped me focus on studying was passing one section. I really didn't care about the exam until I found out I passed BEC. After that, I became extremely focused and motivated on figuring out what I needed to do.

Like a previous poster said, there's never really a 'great' time to study for the exam. It just has to come from within, and you just need to keep picturing that moment when you put CPA on your resume or at the end of your name on your email signature.

I am taking REG on Feb. 27th.  I too am in busy season.  I figure I might as well try REG first since I'm already working on taxes here at work.  I've decided there is never a good time to study for the test.  I have to study after my 15 month old goes to sleep and on the weekends.  I just ordered the cram course from Yaeger today.  I'm hoping that will help me get through the business law part.
