Paddy, which state did you originally apply to take the exam for? Chances are that you are still eligible to appear for the exam under that original application.
If you are seeking to have the expiration of your original BEC credit extended, you will need to gain credit for the other 3 sections and then apply for this through your state board. Gaining an extension of this credit will probably be difficult unless you can prove serious long term health problems to the board.

The 18 months commences from the date you sat the exam, although often the expiry date is rounded up to the end of the relevant month or testing window - don't rely on this though as this may not always apply.
You can take your final section up to and including 4/1/09 and although you will get your score after that date, as long as you gained credit you will be considered to have passed all 4 parts within 18 months

Wouldn't 18 months be 5/1/09 and not 4/1/09?
