Thank you all for your feedback.  How many hours would you devote to the study plan and what sequence of activities would you suggest?  I basically see 4 tasks with they study plan:  viewing lectures, doing the mchoice homework, doing the simulations, and finally revision.  I would like to take it in Mid-May if possible and I am able to commit about 3 hours/day Monday thru Friday and about 8 to 10 hours on the weekend per day....so somewhere between 30 and 35 per week.

I am taking the exam next month and my answer to you would be "as many hours as you"

I dont believe you can over study; however, i wouldn't keep putting off the exam because i feel i haven't studied enough. Use every free time you and pray to whichever diety for favor.

I am planning to take the exam in mid-May - about 2 months from now.  It's been a while since I graduated - using Yaeger DVD's primryly w/Wiley book and have Becker as a reference.  What is the best study approach to know/memorize all of the material for FAR?  Thanks.

I am taking notes with Yaeger, and I am using the Becker book to help with my notes.  However, I still had trouble with pensions and deferred taxes; therefore, I ordered the Bisk Hot Spots by Bob Monette for those subjects.

Phil did both of those sections.  If you had any questions, you should have just called him, instead of paying for Hot Spots.

If you had a choice between doing all the lectures first and then going back and doing the homework versus doing a lecture and completeing homework before proceeding to the next lecture - which would you pick and why?  I have been told that given the volumeof material it may be better to look at all the lectures first and then go back and do the homework - thoughts?

I picked Yaeger because of his strength on multiple choice questions!  No one else comes even close.

Yaeger spends a few minutes explaining the subject matter, and then jumps right in with the multiple choice questions.  The multiple choice questions are where the real learning begins.
