Tintin,

Go to AICPA.org or just use google search engine. There are tons of websites that will give you info about CPA. The best thing would be to visit one of those CPA review courses website. Just google Kaplan or Gliem or Baker. About work experience, Colorado state board gives you  license without work experience if you have 150 credits, while for other states you have to finish the work experience requirement after you pass the CPA exam, so after you pass the CPA exam, you can  apply for the jobs and then see if someone is willing to give you H1 visa. So all I can say is, passing the CPA exam will increase your probabilty of getting a job and someone wishing to sponsor  H1 visa, though I don't have any knowledge about the technicalities of different kind of Visa, you will have to do your own research.

HI Sudha/Shilpa,

I am in similar situation. Request you to give your views and input. I have B.Com from Mumbai Univ and part time MFM from NMIMS- Mumbai Univ.

I understand that these have to send for evaluation. I am looking at colorado state. If you could please share what credit hours they have given in your case. This will give some indication.

Thanks
