I just cracked the book for REG, I'm using Becker, and I must say the material looks pretting intimidating.  I plan on sitting for the section in Nov, so I have some time.  Any suggestions on how to break this beast down into bite-sized portions?  I really, really want to pass this on the first go around.

Test day for Regulation is 5/29.

I'm studying with Exam Matrix (which I highly recommend), so I plan to do nothing but MCQ's until I get through 100% of the questions and I'm scoring consistently in the 85-100% range on 30 random questions.

After that, I plan to review all 11 simulations at least 3 times until I feel comfortable with the type of questions that may be asked on exam day.

This strategy has worked for me so far so I plan to stick with it.  I don't hear much about Exam Matrix on these forums but I wanted to say that if going / listening to lectures or reading endless text books sounds like a complete bore (as it does to me), then I would have to recommend Exam Matrix.  It's nothing but MCQ's and Sims.

Good luck!

I am also using Exam Matrix to study.  I have taken FAR (waiting for results) and am currently studying for REG.  Congrats on your success.  I was wondering how many hours you were studying for each category and also if Exam Matrix was the only material used.

Thanks!

How did you do on your REG test using Exam Matrix?  I am one week out scoring 90's on the MCQ's and not so hot on the Sim's.  Are Exam Matrix Sim's a good study tool for the real thing?

I am taking REG on Oct. 2 and studying with Exam Matrix.  I was just curious how you felt about the exam.

I'm using gleim...and basically I am going through each section and doing 20 question tests, and going over them until I am hitting 90% on them.

This is very timely and I feel like it's working, I'll know how well it worked once I get my auditing scores back though.

Has anyone tried a similar approach and seen results, I have already studied for and taken reg once.

Hi Everyone, Im new to this.  I wanted to ask if anyone could please give me some advice or their input on how they studied for REGS.  I'm using the GLEIM CPA Review Package (Regs).  Has anyone used this cpa review package? If so, how did you go about studying for it?
