Could someone explain the calculation for 10,800? Like show the math. I thought the total amount was supposed to be allocated over the 5 years. What does Becker say is the right answer?

I got (8,000+(12,500*4))/5=11,600

the 8000 is for the full year, of which only 4000 will be paid.

(4,000+(12,500*4))/5=10,800

I am going to kill NASBA if they put something like this on the exam.

Of course, I'll never know whether or not I got it right, because they are so vague in the score reports.

8000*6/12+(12500*4)=54000/5=10800
