Someone please help.

How important is it to practice sims for the REG exam?

I have passed both FAR & AUD w/out doing any, or not much more than the communication on both (believe me not intentionally!), but I want to do better w/ REG.  My problem was not leaving enough time after the MCQs and  I understand that REG is the most time specific of all. Note: I have no experience with taxes (including even paying income or sales taxes), outside of two college courses four yrs ago.

Since I don't have any software w/ REG sims I was wondering, could I get by w/out purchasing them? Are there any other alternatives for practicing?

Thanks and best to all  in preparing and testing!

I have the same question as Coach, also a side question, there are two simulations on the exam, right? How many communications we have to do? one or two?

There is a communication portion for each simulation.

I am taking REG on Monday and as part of my wrap up I reviewed Sim for Indivd Tax, Corp and Part from Becker.  If you know the MCQ, meaning concepts, you will be fine.  I must say, Sims can be a very good final review.  Sims are comprehensive, compose of all the heavely tested areas, so they help to either exposed your weakness or confirm your strenghts.

Becker have very good sims if you don't have access to Becker sims do the paper version, stay away from Wiley, too out of touch.
