Hi bombata,
I would like to recommend the state of Colorado. IT is
very liberal in terms of giving the eligibility to appear
for the CPA exams. Many of my friends, including myself (
Indian citizen and resident) have tried it and it really
works.
All the very Best!
By the way, can any 2009 CPA candidate send me the
Lecture CDs as we in India are not given Becker Lecture
CDs inspite of paying the $3000. Please note that the all
the Lecture CDs can be converted into a blank DVD or can
be stored as files on your PC so that we can see the
lectures whereever we would want to and does not have the
risk of expiry.
You dont have to copy them on a separate DVD and neither
do I need the Passmaster to play the Lecture Files and
you dont have to incur any shipping costs. Its just
sending the video files through e-mail. You can check if
it works by e-mailing it to your friend where the
software is not installed and play the Lecture Video
files. Do let me know if it works or not. I can explain
how it works.

Hi Charlie,
In that case, do you have an explanation for the fact that
we are not given the Lecture CDs where as US candidates are
given. Dont you think it is unfair? It really hurts to know
that you are given access to some part of the course, even
after paying a huge sum of $3000. People in US are given
that privilege. Just cant understand why.
Only those who go through this situation can understand.

This sounds like the type of issue you would need to discuss with the Becker company. I can only suggest to do more research the next time that you invest such a large amount of money into a review course and make sure that you are going to get everything that you expect to get out of it.
Becker is not the only CPA review company out there. But I think Becker is the most expensive review course. Wiley, Bisk, Gleim, Kaplan, and Yaeger are some other companies. I would suggest researching each of those and figure out which one suits you the best. There's also http://cpareviewforfree.com/ which is free.
And if you want free lectures, you could always go to your nearest college and sit in on accounting course lectures for free. You wouldn't get any credit for the classes, but you would get instruction for free. Usually, you can get permission from the instructor to do this as long as you don't disturb the class any and you aren't showing up late.

Very true Charlie! I guess Becker will lose its demand very
soon as lot of Becker students are complaining.
As I feel disturbed will all this episode, I guess I shall
postpone my CPA program for some time ahead as right now, I
donot have the right material and most importantly the
confidence to go ahead.
Thanks for the website. I've already browsed it before and
it just gives the practice exams which can be taken after
one is prepared for the exam.
