I, personally, don't like Becker. I checked out my co-worker's materials and wasn't really impressed. He took the classroom thing with them too, but I just didn't have the time to go to the classes because they are too far away and they don't coincide well with the sequence that I wanted to take my exams. Plus, I prefer self-study with more affordable review materials.

I think Becker will still continue to do alright business-wise, just because the majority of people on here have the perception that the Becker brand is the best, whereas I believe a candidate's ability to pass the exam is solely based on the candidate's own perseverance and dedication to studying everything thoroughly enough, regardless of which book they use. For example, my co-worker did the Becker classes in 2007 and now it's 2009 and he's had a 2nd kid and hasn't passed any exams and now his materials are out of date. I mean, a person can still pass using out of date materials, but when every point absolutely counts on exams where you've had to take the same one more than once, I wouldn't risk using the old stuff. I mean, I used a 2007 Wiley book to pass FAR in April 2009. If I had failed a 3rd time, I would've bought the 2009 book right away. I passed with only a 76, and maybe that would've been higher if I used a current book. Who knows?
