Oh, and my version has 50 questions. This is worrying me because in two of the posts above say there are 40 questions. I got the Professional Ethics for Cerified Public Accountants 2008 version from the California CPA Education Foundation off the calcpa.org website.

For what i'm reading it seems that the Ethic exam is an open book exam???  this sounds too good to be true!

lol...it's not as easy as it sounds. You get a 300+ page study guide which contains the answers and info. This is for California anyway...

However, a lot of the questions are fuzzy and it's hard to eliminate all the answer choices. Certainly, easier than a CPA exam but it takes a lot of effort to A) find the material and B) figuring out how the info relates to the question. Many of the questions require interpretation and analysis of the rule/law so it's quite a chore. It took me around one week to complete. I spent a few hours each day on it though and probably spent somewhere between 15-20 hours total. Luckily, I had the PDF file so I could search for the info easily. I would definitely suggest using the online method. I did fail the first time with an 84 but they tell you the areas needed to be corrected.

Thanks for the heads up, kobecpa! I'll get the online version then. I was thinking about getting the book, but after reading your post. I think I'll be better off with the online version.  Oh well! the ethic exam is not so simple after all.

One suggestion for all those who will be ordering online. Note somewhere
from which page you are getting the answers. It will really help you when
you have to come back to the same question. It was tough for me to look for
the answers as i ordered the book but once i got it became easier to just flip
those particular pages. So, in a way book was also not that bad.

Good luck to all of you !
