thanks divya i got it

soo u take parents RE +net income of sub after  the aquistion and before the dividend in full.and the inority intrest ie (share in equity +the share in net income- the divd recd )will be shown on liablities side ... rt???

jrupa, it's correct !

I would advise you to practice both the simulations on "consolidations" from Becker..... I am sure after that you would be pretty clear about the presentation of the consolidated financial statments !

i saw the final exam question testlet 3 and question number 4 of 30 . over ther they have taken the 90% of profit..but as u said u have to take full profit and than show the minority intrset... i calculated full and got the answer wrong...

and 1 more question.. can u pls expalin me the reclassification of equities ..i hope u have seen th epost if u don understand my question let me know i will frame it again

I think you got me wrong, jrupa..... sorry for any confusion !

I had been discussing the presentation... If you refer Page F3-28; you would find the similar example there as discussed in the final exam.. and, I had provided my opinion based on this example.... I thought you had gone through this example....

Anyways, now you should be clear.... Consolidations is not as tough as it seems... Try to solve the question analytically with logical reasoning...

soo thats means that when u calculate the intrest for questions u do the % of the intrest .and in presentation u show fell and against that u show minority intrest rt?

i am getting very very panic ,coz my exam is in 8 days
