Hi Bhuvan,

Did you manage to get your NJ License? How was the process? I am in similar situation as you were. Any input or words of advice will be highly appreciated.

Best Regards

Hi Bhuvan,

You will need to send your transcripts only to ece.org for evaluation and let them know that they are for CPA NJ license. Probably they will ask you for a syllabus for your courses.

If you have over 150 credits great. Then you will have to send the sealed ECE letter alongwith with application (available on NJ Board of Accountancy) website to NASBA with a $75 fee (no personal checks or cash) who will send their evaluation to NJ Board with a copy to you.

If not try to get the required credits.

Do you have 1 year of work experience under the supervision of a CPA? as NJ requires this as well.

All the best to you.

vdesi

Hi Vdesi,

Thanks for your input. I just passed my CPA from MI, but would like to apply for NJ license. One of the requirements in the application form is to provide the Board with proof of all employments since earning Bachelor's Degree. I did my Bachelors in mid 1993, and it would be really difficult to get the required "statement of experience" from all employers I since worked. How was your experience in this regard ?

Also any idea, how chartered accountant qualification is evaluated by ece.org. As I did my CA before July 2000, do I really to qualify for 150 Credit....as I read on NASBA site (see below) that the educational requirements are different for those applicants who pased before July 2000.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Best Regards

Hi Bhuvan,

I just got a letter from the Board that they have approved my license application.

Firstly you need to know the amount of educational credits you have as without this you will not get any any further.

I don't know if ece gives credit for CA hope someone from the forum can help you with that.

Hope this helps.

Vdesi
