Hi latebloomer, Anila,

Can you please share with me as all the experience one has gained after bachelor's degree should be needed to report while applying for license, can I skip my non-accounting work experience (not related to accounting anyway) or do I have to provide all the details of employment history, what about overseas experience ? I have an overseas experience for which employer certification is not possible and also I have done some non-accounting jobs for couple of months some are for 2-3 days only, should I report all this because I do not think I can get employer certification for all this miscellaneous jobs,

I am not sure should I skip all those experience and only provide qalifying experience, you guys have such experience can you please guide me, I appreciate every reply in this issue.

Hello, APU45: NJ require documentation of all experience after you met 150-hour education requirement. You do not need to provide any documentation of work experience prior to 150-hour period. For example: if your bachelors degree was conferred in 2005 and started working right away. You completed your Masters degree in 05/2007. You need to list and document all experience from 06/2007.

Hello latebloomer: What about unemployment periods or temporary jobs not related to professional experience after I met 150-hour education requirement? Should I still list it with exact dates in NJ application?

I don't think NJ require documentation of all experience after you met 150-hour education requirement. But they courage you to submit all related experiences.

I got my CPA a few months ago by providing my work experience in PwC 8 years ago. You can image on that time I haven't applied the CPA exam yet.

My co-worker got his CPA license by providing the work experience in a public CPA firm before he got his MBA (to meet 150 credits).

The regulation only says at least one year related experiences.
