That's good you got through the apps.  You'll still want to check around your local universities to find out where Big 4 recruits from.  Narrowing your pool from national to your vicinity will increase yours odds of success.  If you can go to any of these events, go and get your face/name out there.  I would also sign up to receive newsletters from the Big 4 companies.  Google Beta Alpha Psi and find the nearest chapter location.  BAP usually have networks with all the Big 4s.

thank you very much. I will search and go to the events if they are available somewhere closer to my city.

One more question: if a person participated in Summer Leadership Program with one of the big 4 but didn't get a invitation for interview when she/he applied to the full time position this fall, how will it affect if he/she includes that program on her/his resume and applies to other big 4 firms? does it look good or not? I have been hearing different thoughts about it. some say it is better to include because it shows that you have been exposed to big 4 environment and at least you know how they work. but some say that it would show that you are unstable since you had participated in one and trying to find position in different firms at the same time.

what do you think about it?

thank you

Just my 2 cents:

Big 4 workers jump around inside the Big 4 pool all the time, meaning a PWC employee applies to E&Y, later to KPMG, and later to Deloitte.  This is very common in the industry.  I would include the summer program in the resume, and show what else I was involved in after the program (leadership positions held, extra work experience gained, extra education obtained, volunteer work).  I personally know someone who applied one year...got rejected after the interviews.  He applied the next year again the same company (same recruiter/same everything) and got in.

If they didn't extend an invitation back then, it doesn't mean they were never interested.  Anyone invited to the summer program is considered cream of the crop.

If someone who worked at a Big 4 got laid off, they should still definitely include it on their resume when looking for other work in the Big 4 & non-Big 4.
