Is it just me or is this cram bascilly a video of someone reading the
textbook? Phil is a lot more interactive, but it seems that the other
instructors are just reading out of the textbook. The only part Phil covered
was the information on corps, partnerships, etc. The part of IT was almost
impossible to get through as the instructor was just reading the pages and
didn't input anything besides a giggle here and there. I don't even know if I
should waste another 5 hours hoping that she adds valuable additional
information that I didn't already get from studying the Becker book. I so
wish I had the Becker lectures; Peter Olinto and Tim Gearty really know how
to make the material come to life. Oh well, next time I know in case I fail BEC
on Wednesday.

I would listen to the rest of the lectures. I also have the cram. The IT portion is mostly definitions so there really is not much to test there. THe lecture was fast - I agree. If you go further in the DVD (Especially NPV and cost accounting) they show you different formulas and other neat ways to deal with problems. IT - You just have to read on your own. Nobody can really teach you definitions. Cindy does a great job with cost accounting. I'm going through the Econ portion and Mcmillian gives examples that sticks to your head.

The purpose of Yaeger cram is not to teach you the concepts (that's what the homestudy is for) It is supposed to get you that extra few points and to do a final review on the material. You should know most of the concepts already before purchasing this product. I think it's a great product so far and it's def. helping me study this time around.

I used cram the first time, did wiley from cover to
cover, managed to get an 83 the first time.

I did not go through the IT part of the cram.I heard
Cindy mentioning that we need to read whole chapter on
IT.I did that,it paid off.

For the rest of the section, cram is good.I picked up some
4 to 5 correct questions in the exam, just because i
watched her lecture on finance, ratios and costing.

After all,it is supposed to be CRAMMING what you have
learnt ALREADY.Not teach you from the base up.

Bottomline,yaeger crams,homestudies are too good.

Just my 2 cents..

I know that it is not supposed to be teaching the material. I think yesterday I was frustrated because I knew that my test is Wednesday and I didn't really understand material variances all that well yet. I did end up finding a 07 becker lecter for Ch 5 and Olinto didn't explain it 100% either (he just said do the problems). I did tons of questions today and think I know enough now. Did a practice becker and got a 74...which makes me happy b/c usually you do better on the actual exam.

So anyway, I am going to finish the cram tonight.

PS - it is also hard for me b/c I don't have the Wiley book, just the handout. Maybe that is the problem. I just thought it would be more highlights that were in the handout, rather then in the textbook.
