From what I've heard, if you do well and get the harder testlets, the harder questions count for more than the easier ones. That's how "computer adaptive" tests are supposed to work. You get more points for getting a given number of hard questions right than you do for getting the same number of easy questions right.

Harder questions are worth more than easier ones.
Different areas are harder for different people. I know for me areas where I had less education/experience with them are harder for me, such as fund accounting, pensions, and deferred income taxes.
