Now I need to take 12 units at a JC  - I've grad college 12 yrs ago so this is
no fun at all :P

Hey Dlee,

were you supposed to pay for the other 3 attempts ? or did the board gave
the extra 3 attempts. I am asking this as i have already made 2 attempts and
scared to do the 3rd one. Just wanted to know if i have to pay extra $$ for
next attempts.
Thank you!

JaiSri: No I didn't have to pay after 3 attempts for the ethics exam. I just told them I did not pass and need to know what is the next step to re-do my exam. The customer service lady said they give a complimentary 3 more tries. What they do is re-set your account as if you never took any. I was worried on my 5th try...but finally got 92% on the 6th. geesh, it was hard!! I had difficulty with Ch. 3 definitions because the questions were so tricky! good luck! btw - I just use the book and never got the pdf file either.

Wait, there is some contradictions in this thread. One of you is saying that after 5 years, you need to take CPE to apply for license. One of you is saying that after 5 years, your experience needs to be within one year of applying license. So which is it? Or do both apply?

lakers: I did not have to take CPE to get the license 8 years after passing the exam. I believe CPE only applies when you come from inactive to active status. However, I would read the licensing manual carefully to be sure.
