to-MAY-to to-MAH-to ;)

How do you know about "to-MAY-to to-MAH-to", but not know about the difference between give & take? I'm guessing they emphasize pronunciation over grammatical correctness when teaching English in India.

This is a CPA forum and not a GMAT/GRE forum. My point was to just move on to important things rather than quibble over grammar which, last I checked, is not tested in CPA.

Good luck with your exams.

According to the Wiley Regulation 2009 book on page 16,

"The responses involving written communication will be graded for writing skills. These responses are scored based on the following criteria:

1. Organizations: structure, ordering of ideas, and linking of one idea to another
-Overview/thesis statement
-Unified paragraphs (topic and supporting sentences)
-Transitions and connectives

2. Development: supporting evidence/information to clarify thoughts
-Details
-Definitions
-Examples
-Rephrasing

3. Expression: use of standard business English
-Grammar
-Punctuation
-Word usage
-Capitalization
-Spelling"

I can't argue with that. The proof is in the pudding; and the pudding is your passing scores.
