I think I'll be waiting till September too.  I had
certain tabs in the simulations that my review material
barely mentioned and the tabs wanted me to do journal
entries on them.

Pretty sure i had this sim... So if we had a new sim,
theres no way we'll be in first wave?

That's true.... I gave FAR on 04/11 before the end of first wave and even, I was sure that I had a new "sim". I received my scores during Wave 2 (nearly 2.5 months after my exam)... It's gruesome wait -- however, no option :(

Based on what people are saying, sounds like we had the same sim.  It was brutal, and I know I got it about half right or less.  The only tab I think I did well on was the first one, the other tabs were absolutely horrible.

Does anyone know if there is even a glimmer of hope for those of us who
did not finish the simulations for FAR? It sounds as though many taking
the exam in summer 09 ran into difficulties with time (and content!). I
have read very interesting scores for those taking REG, one candidate
even stated they only finished 1/4 of both simulations, and somehow
scored a 90 on the REG section (see link to forum: http://www.cpanet.com/cpa_forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=23764)

I thought I was over prepared...and the sheer amount of information in
the sims was daunting compared to any practice sim I have done. Just
reading the background took entirely too much time, much less the
journals. I had to prioritize, and focused on the communications. I would
say I completed 1/2 of the tabs....not including the communications and
research tab.

I was able to finish both simulations but I don't think very succesfully.  I did both communications and I think I got both research questions.  As far as the other 6 working tabs I had to do, I knew how to do maybe 2-3 a little bit and the other 3 had no clue and just put answers in hopes of getting lucky and just to have an answer in every blank.
