This is the only place I see WI cpa's so I'll ask the question here. WHat are the starting salaries for cpa's in WI I.E Big 4, medium and small co offers. If you have private industry numbers as well that's cool. Just wondering...

Thanks!

Phew, it has been a while but I am back in the waiting game! I had a lovely break over the summer, and I sat for my final section (BEC) on November 23rd.

Last year I took Audit Nov 30th, and NASBA posted scores December 31st. I don't really expect to hear anything much sooner this year - so I am going to try and forget about it for the next month. Hopefully I will start the new year fully eligible for my C.P.A.!

Btw, I work for a Fortune 500 private company. Having your CPA here doesn't matter quite as much as it does for someone in public, but there are several people with CPA's where I work (especially higher up). I was hired a year before I graduated (interned 2 full years), so I really have no idea what they would start a CPA at. I do know my company tries to be competitive with public firms hiring new acctg grads, and it is pretty difficult to get in here so the starting salary was probably close to what a regional firm in my city would offer one year ago.

I too also interned for almost 2 full years in a private corp. glad to know there were others who were in the same situation as me. I thought i was the only one in this weird situation. But i left the corp and now employed FT at a med public acct. I would say for med CPA firm starting salary w/b around 47-50k depend on how much experience you have, while if i stay at the private corp and got an offer, it would be around 40k-43k (this is only my guess based on my intern wage - 16/hr)

good luck to us all, i took REG on Nov 30, i hope i get the score b4 year-end, then my holiday would be much better ^^

My offer two years ago was much closer to what you quoted for the med CPA firm (with a great signing bonus as well), but again I interned at a great private corp. They have no problem attracting very smart talented people who have had experience in public acctg.

I am also hoping for scores before the holidays, but I don't expect them until later based on when I got my score last year. I am very jealous of everyone on the BEC forum right now, lol.
