Guys, I graduated with a GPA of 3.8 in my BA in Accounting and have completed the CPA exams. I have applied to well over 100 accounting firms (all in NYC area) without a single interview...and if you like me, thinks something is wrong with my resume, I've had several professionals looked at it, all to no avail...

I just believe the economy is in a very bad shape and like so many of you, I am fustrated and don't know what the hell to do.

I was told to go back to school for my MS and apply through school, so that is what I am planning to do and if that doesn't work then I will be looking to move to any and I mean any state that I can get a job with an accounting firm.

I am as pissed and fustrated as any of you....

FAR - Oct 08; AUD - Nov 08; BEC - Feb 09 and REG - May 09

Yo I would of been calling firms and companies anywhere that shows a job opening, not just sending resumes out.  I at least had 2 interviews in the summer but I wasn't into it because the CPA wasn't a factor.

I think the next best idea is to get a Master's since most states require it and alot of people are doing it so you have to keep up with the pace.

NY is a Mess, about to go bankrupt because no more bonuses for the wall street executives..so no tax money left

Have you tried this site?
http://360jobinterview.com/_Services-and-Fees/LIVE-Career-Ac tion-Planning

Was thinking of trying it since I am lucky to have some money...Good Luck
